It looks like they are going for convenience. You don't have to pack up the kids, you just have to set up your account and walk to the mailbox. There's no personal service either. It's more like PAC without the library.
It looks like a good idea. I've seen libraries that offer this service in one form or another.
I know that some of our patrons would gladly pay for this kind of service. Convenience is king! This could replace our homebound delivery service. Without knowing the costs involved its difficlut to judge feasibility. And it would be perfect during pandemic season. JmK
They may be onto something. What they count on is people reading two or less books a month. They will never have the volume of Netflixx and Don't forget books are heavy and expensive. Postage will kill them and I really think they will fail.
I really wonder how expensive it will be each month; what they think it should cost to break even. I wonder how successful they will be if they only allow 1 book at a time. So many of our patrons check out stacks at a time. It's interesteing that they are looking for investors.
