I think that, anytime a technology requires money, training, and average Joes performing techy like tasks to use what may be a complicated service, the battle is half lost. Where as, using services readily available, free, and is widely used by average Joes, success is more likely. Libraries need to stop forcing the patrons and supporters to adopt librarian ways because forcing adaptation hastens the possibility of becoming obsolete as other mediums will replace our services with more user friendly methods.
