Library Mission Statement

We finally have one! It took six months, but a new mission statement has been approved by the Board of Trustees. I'll be the first one to admit it's not perfect, but it is done.

Mission:
The Clermont County Public Library connects our community to information and a world of ideas.

We strive to be responsive to the needs and interests of the community and serve as the cornerstone for promoting and providing open access to information.

Quality Service
We anticipate customer and community needs and to strive to exceed expectations in delivering services.

Diversity
We are committed to diversity in our collection, hiring practices, and in honoring the diverse needs and points of views of our customers.

Education
We support the education goals of our community, as well as the goals of individuals engaged in life long learning experiences.

Integrity
We act with honesty and fairness as we conduct our business with customers and each other. We assume personal responsibility for accomplishing the goals of the organization.

Teamwork
We work together in a spirit of cooperation, supporting each person’s efforts to achieve organizational excellence, both within the library and within the larger community.
