Board Meeting

March Board meeting was an interesting experience. We cancelled our guest speaker because we had only 3.5 firm confirmations for the meeting, and we need four to have a quorum. He's supposed to come next month and talk about the TEL Amendment. (Director at Dayton Montgomery Public Library) By then, we may not need him; but that's another story.

We are going to start a negotiation process on some property in UT, (cross your fingers, we've tried the same piece at least twice before) and in the next month Maura and I will begin researching Levy options. We now have a new Drug Safety policy in place. Overall, we'll save money on our workers comp. insurance when we complete training and etc....

Interesting mix of characters at the meeting. Marion, Lois were there representing the Long term Board Members and our two newest members, Patty and Bill were also present. All of our most verbal board members were unable to attend. The meeting ended promptly at 7:00. I wonder why .......

The Board members seem very reluctant to get invovled in the process of confirming a mission statement. That stalled out again tonight, so we'll try next month.
